Mercedes are working on an Active Comfort System to help fatigued drivers take a power nap with aromas and massage inducing sleep. The Mercedes Attention Assist is designed to warn drivers when their driving is becoming a bit erratic as they get tired and lose concentration, with its little coffee cup symbol now proliferating across instrument panels on Mercedes cars. But what if you’re one of those poor unfortunate souls who can’t just pull over and go to sleep for 20 minutes for a quick power nap to recharge your batteries?

A technology called HCCI improves fuel economy 15 percent and releases fewer emissions by using a combustion process similar to what is used in diesel powerplants. Pforzheim University held its winter degree show earlier this month, taking over the Congresshall complex in downtown Pforzheim again, rather than the school itself, which is situated on the outskirts of the town. The German school's exhibition covered projects from five graduating Masters' students and eight BA students, with an increasing number of interior projects being tackled, especially by MA students. The exhibition also included work from first-semester Masters students for a vehicle for the nearby spa town of Bad Herrenalb , as well as a 'My First Mercedes' project from fourth and sixth semester undergraduates.
